Yes, we can provide transport in particular areas to and from our Day Support. There is an attached cost to this.

You can access our service through Care Co-ordinator referral which includes Direct Payments and Personal Budgets, or it can be directly purchased by the individual.

We are open Monday to Friday 9am until 4pm.

We work with an external Training Provider; Magpie Training and all staff across both our Supported Living Service and Day Support undertake regular mandatory training courses which are refreshed at appropriate intervals.

Only those staff who are qualified will administer medication. All staff who are new to the care sector will complete The Care Certificate.

Across all of our services, service users access many activities within the local community, linked to their own specific interests such as cinema, pub, eating out, bowling, going to the gym, and swimming.

Within our Day Support we also work closely with local Parish Councils and support initiatives such as Durham in Bloom and Pittington in Bloom.

We also have a community and therapeutic sensory garden and an allotment, where produce is used for our Luncheon Clubs (for the elderly) and shared with local foodbanks. Additionally, we run the Hen House Café at Pittington Village Hall, supported by service users and staff.

As a company we are proud of the person-centred service that we deliver; service users are consulted on a very regular basis and their thoughts and opinions continually help our service to develop.

We also have staff who are trained Person-Centred Planning Facilitators and Person-Centred Plans can be developed with service users throughout our service.

We provide Day Support and Supported Living Services for adults who have learning disabilities, from the age of 18.

We are subscribed to Quality Compliance Systems (QCS) who provide us with relevant policies and procedures which are linked to legislation. These are reviewed and updated on a very regular basis.

Where there have been any changes in policies these are discussed with all staff via team meetings and individual supervision sessions.

Yes, service users can access any Day Support that meets their needs and that they are assessed as requiring.
