Ethicare (Durham) Ltd was established in 2014, by two (Brenda & Barbara) of the existing three Directors, who are passionate about ensuring adults with disabilities receive the person-centred support they require to give them a rewarding and meaningful life. This comes not just from their professional background, but own personal experience.
The following year, Sherriene joined the team, whose specialisms lie in training and quality assurance in this sector.
The staff at Ethicare have made a huge difference to so many lives, and business is growing, because they recognize there is a huge need for the services they provide.
If you are looking to access our services for a loved one, this can be purchased individually or you would need to come through a Care Co-ordinator referral.
As you would expect, we are heavily regulated. We are required to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and to maintain that registration throughout the Contract Period. Further, we must meet the ‘Essential Standards of Quality and Safety’ as set out in the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2009 and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009. Ethicare are inspected, as required, by the CQC and the Local Authority.
